About Erin

Hi there, I’m Erin Strakalaitis, an ordained pastor with a Master of Divinity. I am motivated and committed to walk with people through the messier parts of life.

My work has taken me from local church ministry into counseling practice, where I help individuals find clarity, adaptability, and spiritual resilience, especially in the midst of anxiety, grief, identity questions, and faith-related pain. My studies have led me to focus on how destructive church conflict and abusive power dynamics cause spiritual and emotional trauma. However, though I know this reality exists, I have witnessed in my pastoral and counseling work, how people begin to live meaningful lives, not by avoiding pain, but by encountering Christ in the middle of it.

My approach blends thoughtful conversation, warm empathy, spiritual formation, and biblical insight that meets the real and complicated shape of your story. I offer a confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, desires, pain, and faith without pressure or pretense.

Generations Biblical Counseling is grounded in a biblical framework that seeks to understand people and problems through both a psychological perspective and Christ’s transforming presence. In our sessions, we may talk through your past, name what hurts now, and engage in spiritual practices or emotional tools that support your goals and formation.

Outside of counseling, I serve on the board of ministerial development in the Great Lakes Region of the Wesleyan Church, walking alongside pastors as they navigate ministerial preparation and leadership challenges. I also serve as an adjunct professor of pastoral counseling and New Testament studies at Kingswood University (Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada).

In my free time, you’ll likely find me reading, sketching, designing, or getting my hands dirty in the garden. If you're feeling stuck, worn down, or unsure how faith fits with what you're carrying, I’d be honored to walk with you.
